How Latex Coir Mattress Are Made

1. Gathering Coconut Husk

Coir fibers are derived from the outer husk of coconuts. The husks are softened by soaking in water before being separated to extract the coarse fibers.

2. Fibre processing

The collected coir fibers are washed, dried, and curled to improve their durability. They are subsequently made into sheets or layers for mattress cores.

3. Latex Extraction

Natural latex is extracted from rubber trees, collected as a milky liquid, and converted into foam using the Dunlop or Talalay methods.

4. Layered Coir and Latex

Coir sheets are stacked and bound together using a natural adhesive called latex. This results in a solid, homogeneous core with flexibility and longevity.

5. Designing the Mattress

The coir-latex layers are compacted to the appropriate thickness and dimension. This compression is what gives the mattress its foundation structure.

6. Introducing Comfort Layers

To improve cushioning and support, several layers of latex foam are put on top of the coir core.
